Hole-by-Hole Tour

Hole #1 – Par 4
BLACK: 355 yards               GOLD: 335 yards                WHITE: 267
A soft dogleg left to right to start your round with plenty of trouble off the tee. The correct play here is to position your tee ball at the turn of the dogleg to give you a clear shot to the green. This is protected by water on the left and trees to the right.  A well-positioned tee shot will leave you a short iron to the green and a good chance to start your round with a birdie or par.

Hole #2 – Par 3
BLACK: 208 yards               GOLD: 185 yards                WHITE: 157 yards
At 208 yards, this hole can play as the longest par 3 on the course. This is a straight away hole with out of bounds on the left-hand side. The green slopes from back to front demanding a tee shot below the hole to give yourself a chance at making the putt. Being short and in front of the green will give you your best opportunity at getting your ball up and down for a par.

Hole #3 – Par 4
BLACK: 397 yards               GOLD: 337 yards                WHITE: 291 yards
Straight away par 4 in which you should favor the left center of the fairway on your tee shot. The green is sloped from back to front. A bunker, as well as out of bounds, protects the left side of the green with a penalty area behind the green. A second shot just short of the green or below the hole will give you your best opportunity at par.

Hole #4 – Par 3
BLACK: 118 yards               GOLD: 101 yards                WHITE: 87 yards
One of the shortest par 3s on the course with an elevated tee looking down at a striking green complex. The tee shot will probably play a half club shorter than the yardage. Play to the center of the green. If you miss, the green you will need a great short game to get the ball up and down.

Hole #5 – Par 5
BLACK: 564 yards               GOLD: 510 yards                WHITE: 420 yards
This is the longest par 5 on the course measuring at 564 yards from the back tee. This is a true 3-shot par 5. A good tee shot will need to draw right to left in order to set up your second shot. A well struck second shot will carry over the hill and put you on the flat of the fairway 100 to 140 yards out. The green is elevated so take enough club and aim to the center of the green. Par is a great score on this hole.

Hole #6 – Par 3
BLACK: 172 yards               WHITE: 168 yards              WHITE: 134 yards
Mid length par 3 at 168 yards from the middle tee. The green complex has a lot of character sloping from back to front and left to right. The pin location will determine where to place your tee shot. The hardest pin is bottom right which makes for a tough par. The smart play is to the center of the green. Two putts will do and 3 is always a good score.

Hole #7 – Par 5
BLACK: 460 yards               GOLD: 430 yards                WHITE: 388 yards
This is the shortest par 5 on the course measuring 460 yards from the back tee with the best opportunity to make an eagle or birdie. Position your tee shot left center to avoid the bunkers on the right and left side of the fairway and water on the left, which gives you a great look into the hole. A second shot short front, or on the green will give you an opportunity to score. A second shot pin high left or right of the green takes some skill to get the ball up and down.

Hole #8 – Par 5
BLACK: 480 yards              GOLD: 456 yards                WHITE: 397 yards
One of the most interesting and demanding par 5s on the course. Not a long hole but probably presents the most risk and reward.  A long well positioned tee ball will give you the opportunity to go for this blind green in two. An errant 2nd shot left, right or long will cost you a bogey or more. The more conservative play is to position your 2nd shot in the middle of the fairway 80 yards from the green. This will give you a look down into the green but do not mess with the pin. Hit to the front center of the green, 2 putt and get on to the next hole.

Hole #9 – Par 3
BLACK: 129 yards               GOLD: 118 yards                WHITE: 103 yards
Par 3 straight away. At 129 yards from the back tee, this hole provides the opportunity to make a birdie or par to end the front nine. The green is deep from front to back with bunkers protecting the green, so picking the right club off the tee is important.

Hole #10 – Par 4
BLACK: 398 yards               GOLD: 387 yards                WHITE: 336 yards
This hole is downhill playing 387 yards from the middle tee. With a pond located in the fairway, your play off the tee is to lay up just short of the water. The 2nd shot has to carry the water. Depending on your length you have a mid to short Iron. A 2nd shot landing on or just short of the green plays nicely and gives you a chance to score. Do not go over the green or you will end up in the penalty area behind the green.

Hole # 11 – Par 4
BLACK: 361 yards               GOLD: 307 yards                WHITE: 287 yards
Up the hill hole with a lot of risk and reward off the tee shot. The conservative play is to lay up at the bottom of the hill leaving approximately 150-yards, your 2nd shot will be blind to a fairly flat green with no bunkers protecting the green. If you risk a tee shot to the top of the hill you bring in penalty areas on both sides of the fairway and a tall pine tree into play. If you pull the shot off you will have a short iron to the green.

Hole #12 – Par 4
BLACK: 321 yards               GOLD: 256 yards                WHITE: 218 yards
A short par 4 at 321 yards from the back tee. This is one of the most visually intimidating tee shots on the course. Your tee shot will need to be precisely placed in order to have a 2nd shot to the green. You will need to carry the water and avoid the left and right areas of the fairway. A good tee shot will leave you 90 yards from the green. Play to the center of the green and move on to the next hole.

Hole #13 – Par 3
BLACK: 123 yards               GOLD: 111 yards                WHITE: 104 yards
The 2nd shortest par 3 at just 123 yards from the back tees. One of the most demanding short irons you will play. You need a great tee shot to get out of this hole with a par. With a small green and water protecting the left of the green and the penalty area to the right of the green there is no margin for error. A shot short of the green may give you the ability to get the ball up and down. If you miss left or right a big number may come into play.

Hole #14 Par 3
BLACK: 192 yards               GOLD: 180 yards                WHITE: 109 yards
Another very demanding par 3. Playing 180 yards up hill from the middle tee with a deep bunker protecting the front of the green. The green is narrow and long from left to right. You must take enough club off the tee to carry the bunker. Long is better than short. Par on this hole is a great score.

Hole #15 – Par 5
BLACK: 503 yards               GOLD: 420 yards                WHITE: 374 yards
One of the original holes on the course. A par 5 at 503 yards from the back tee, the most demanding shot is off the tee. Penalty areas left and right plus a steeply sloped fairway make the tee shot tough. The conservative shot off the tee is to position your tee shot at the bottom of the slope. If you gamble off the tee and get to the top of the hill you will have an opportunity to go for the green in two. The green is protected by a bunker on the left and a 2-tier green. If you are on the right tier you have a chance to make a putt. Otherwise 2 putt and move on to the next hole.

Hole #16 – Par 4
BLACK: 340 yards               GOLD: 330 yards                WHITE: 310 yards
Playing 330 yards from the middle tee to a slightly elevated green. The smart play is to position your tee ball approximately 140 yards from the green. This will give you your best approach. If you gamble off the tee you bring the willow trees on the left, the tree located left center and the penalty area on the right into play. If you hit the green you will have a chance to make the putt.

Hole #17 – Par 4
BLACK: 299 yards               GOLD: 282 yards                WHITE: 236 yards
One of the most picturesque holes from the tee on the course. An elevated tee, tree lined fairways and bunkers guarding the landing area. A short hole at barely 300 yards will test your skills. The smart tee shot is to lay up just short of the bunkers which will leave about 90 yards to the green for your 2nd shot. You have a short iron to a small target so you need to be precise. A little long is better than short. You may have a chance to get up and down from just behind the green.

Hole #18 – Par 4
BLACK: 390 yards               GOLD: 322 yards                WHITE: 275 yards
The closing par 4 at 390 yards from the back tee. A tee shot slightly right to left will be ideal. Your second shot will be to an elevated green that plays slightly longer than it looks. The green is sloped from back to front. A well placed 2nd shot below the hole will give you the best look. Long or pin high left or right will be a difficult up and down. So, stay below the hole and you should have a good opportunity to make par.
